Days - Monday to Friday 7am-3pm / 3pm-11pm alternates each week Rate of Pay - £12.33 per hour Here in Consett, we have a team of around 280 colleagues. We produce a range of chilled ready meals for some of the UK's leading retailers, including Co-op, Sainsbury's and Weight Watchers. What you'll be doing As a skilled operator, some of the duties involved include: Prepare ingredients as instructed by the Senior Operator Mixing parts of meals such as rice mixes in tumblers, ensuring that machines used is cleaned accordingly after each use. Assist with setting up the production lines Collecting the correct ingredients and equipment from chilled and packaging stores to multiple lines timely and efficiently Making sure that the correct Utensils are being used for Meat/veg/allergen meals, to prevent cross-contamination What we're looking for Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience: Experience working within a food manufacturer preferred Good Literacy and Numeracy skills * Problem solving skills Good communicator and ability to work in a team Allergen awareness L2 Food Safety is preferred but not essential We're not all the same at Greencore and our differences help us to make every day taste better for all our stakeholders.
