Our offices are in Abingdon but this Performance Test Engineer Lead role could be either office based or hybrid with monthly office days. You should live within reasonable commute of Abingdon. The Role Working as part of our Software Quality team, you will play a key role in strategising, implementing, and optimising performance testing for our systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performing applications. This is a hands-on position requiring both technical expertise and the ability to mentor junior team members while driving improvements in performance testing practices across the business. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Design and implement detailed performance testing plans, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing. Develop and maintain automated performance testing suites using tools like JMeter, Gatling, NeoLoad, LoadRunner or similar. Integrate automated performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar tools. Establish and maintain key performance metrics through baseline vs. benchmarking analysis. Conduct in-depth performance analysis using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Insights. Work closely with engineers and operational teams to diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues.
