Overview
We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Finance Function Support team in Guildford or Gatwick, to assist managers to profitably deliver Accounting and Financial Reporting work across a portfolio of corporate clients. This role will include complex financial reporting and consolidations and progress to managing a small portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities
* Act as day‑to‑day point of contact for clients and practise principles of excellent client service.
* Manage a small portfolio of corporate clients within the agreed internal budget and address any material points identified on assignments with the team.
* Plan assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures, confirm arrangements with the client including likely costs and billing arrangements.
* Ensure that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions, carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
Qualifications
* ACA / ACCA part or fully qualified.
* Strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
* Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and IFRS financial reporting in group scenarios.
* Production of consolidation workbooks.
* Experience of financial statement production software.
* Working knowledge of corporation tax (beneficial).
* Some experience of working within a finance function/department (beneficial).
