Solicitor or Equivalent (Clinical Negligence Grade A - Newcastle)
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Solicitor you will handle complex cases from start to finish, provide proactive commercial case management and build strong relationships with clients, medical experts and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
* Proactive and commercial case management and progression
* Support the Team Leader in ensuring delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
* Effective and thorough time recording
Key Accountable Tasks
* Discuss case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and team members
* Identify cases ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
* Work with the team to collect and collate relevant information to enable progression of the case
* Manage a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
* Coordinate progression of cases with all internal and external parties
* Draft legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
* Negotiate settlement and issue and service proceedings if required
* Oversee documentation and correspondence produced by the team
* Advise the team on any technical issues arising
Essential Skills And Experience
* Recent experience of handling a case load
* 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and drafting skills
* Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim and Excel
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
* Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
* Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
* Excellent Client Care Skills
