Exceptional Nanny/Housekeeper Opportunity in South Kensington (SW7) Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 Gross per Annum | Start Date: End of Dec/Early January A busy professional American family relocating to London is seeking an experienced, proactive Sole Charge Nanny/Housekeeper to support their move and establish a warm, organised family home in South Kensington. This is a highly valued, long-term role for a candidate who is ready to become an indispensable part of their lives. We are looking for a mature, maternal figure with a passion for creating a homely environment for two bright girls aged nearly 3 and 5.5 years. The girls will attend Pre School/School a short walk from home. The Ideal Candidate The position demands a candidate with robust experience, a flexible nature, with a kind and sunny disposition: Experience: Proven history of long-term roles on their CV, demonstrating commitment and stability. Character: Warm, positive, engaging, and genuinely loves to create a homely home. Must be helpful, proactive, and happy to assist wherever needed. Language Preference: A distinct preference for Latin heritage with fluency in Spanish or Italian. Flexibility: Essential. Must be happy to travel with the family, including trips to New York and holidays, and be flexible with occasional evening babysitting and weekend days, as both parents travel. Key Responsibilities This is a dual-focus role, requiring energy and excellent organisational skills across both childcare and domestic duties: Applicants must love caring for children and take pride in their role. Childcare (Sole Charge) Providing dedicated, sole-charge care for the two girls. The daily school run, coordinating activities, and hosting playdates. Supporting the girls in fostering friendships Assisting with educational support, including homework, reading, and phonics. Cooking fresh, healthy meals for the children, and potentially for the parents. Accompanying the family on holidays and to New York Housekeeping/Cooking (A separate cleaner is employed for deep cleaning). Taking responsibility for the smooth daily running and organisation of the large family home. Managing all family laundry and light ironing. Running errands, grocery shopping, menu planning, tidying, and organising. Fresh meals cooked from scratch for the children and potentially parents Logistics and Compensation Hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm or 7.30 - 7.30 - Monday to Friday (60 hours per week).
