We are currently recruiting experienced IT professionals to cross-train as Data Engineers, and subsequently place at our client, one of the biggest banks in the Finance Industry. This is an amazing opportunity to join a large Finance organization and create a real impact by becoming part of their unique journey.
The Role

During this two-year opportunity, you’ll receive:

As a trained Data Engineer, your role could involve:
* Designing and implementing scalable data pipelines for analytics and processing
* Developing and maintaining database architectures, including data lakes and warehouses
* Ensuring data quality through cleaning, transformation, and validation
* Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
* Optimizing data retrieval and developing dashboards and reports
* Implementing data security and privacy policies to ensure compliance
We’ll also provide a tailored learning and development plan and a personal success coach throughout your journey.
What we are looking for
To apply, you’ll need:
* 12-24 months experience in software development using Java or Python
* Exposure to an Agile environment
* Knowledge of DevOps practices
* Experience with Linux
* Understanding of data modeling, data warehouses, and dashboards
* Experience with databases (Oracle, MongoDB, RDBMS, SQL)
* Experience with BI tools like Tableau
* Knowledge of Apache Kafka
Plus, attitude is key. We seek adaptable, resilient individuals invested in growth and passionate about making a difference, with a sense of social responsibility.
You’ll also need to:
* Commit to at least two years working with Revolent post-training, with potential to convert to permanent employment with the client
* Be willing to commute to Glasgow, Scotland
This hybrid role involves a mix of office and remote work. Flexibility is available for those further afield or with personal commitments.
