Are you a quality professional seeking a new challenge in high-reliability manufacturing environments? This contract Quality Engineer role offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical programmes delivered across the UK and globally.
You will be part of a collaborative and driven group, ensuring quality standards are met across complex, high-profile projects. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting first article inspections, maintaining compliance records, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role involves performing First Article Inspections (FAIRs), ideally to AS9102 standards. You will also support quality investigations and root cause analysis to maintain product integrity. Additionally, you will manage and maintain quality records using digital systems and support audits, including internal process reviews and external accreditation checks.
To succeed in this position, you should have experience with FAIRs and a solid understanding of AS9102 documentation. A background in quality engineering within an electronics or mechanical assembly environment is essential. You should also have working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 standards and be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
A strong communicator who can build effective relationships across teams is required. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to challenge when needed is also necessary.
Prior experience navigating quality challenges in fast-paced programme environments would be beneficial. A degree in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on experience is also desirable. If you are interested in the aerospace or defence sectors, this could be a great opportunity to apply your skills.
This contract role offers a 4-day working week based on-site, flexible team culture, and the chance to contribute to high-impact programmes that support global security and innovation.
This is a regulated, detail-driven environment where you will take pride in upholding the highest standards of quality. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the success of these programmes.
