Position: Senior Ecological Consultant

Role: Permanent full‑time or part‑time, hybrid with flexible homeworking and office attendance.
Overview: We are recruiting experienced and passionate Senior Ecological Consultants to join our growing UK ecology team. The role will involve the delivery of field surveys, assessments, tendering, report writing, and project management on nationwide and local projects. Senior consultants will manage and oversee medium/large projects and tenders from commencement to completion and close‑out.
Key Responsibilities
* Display commitment to the quality of work produced and promote RSK in a positive light to clients and competitors.
* Manage medium‑sized projects, including finance, resource allocation, subcontractor management, risk and quality assurance, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication, and seek and respond to client feedback.
* Complete fieldwork, including out‑of‑hours surveys, travel as required, and work away from home.
* Oversee aspects of site work and undertake practical elements of habitat management or creation, under supervision.
* Assist with delivery of survey and research reports, including document reviews, statistical analyses, licence applications, and reporting.
Person Specification
* Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent vocational qualification.
* Minimum of 5 years of specific relevant experience.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Species‑specific personal licences desirable.
* Associate membership with the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environment (CIEEM).
* Abide by CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
