Location: Henderson, North Carolina
School Year: 2025-2026 (August 1, 2025 June 9, 2026)
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours/week
Caseload: Pre-K with mild to moderate behavioral needs
Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional with a passion for early childhood development and behavioral support? We are seeking a full-time, licensed professional to join our team in Henderson, North Carolina, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, specifically focusing on our Pre-K 3-year-olds!
This vital role involves working directly with young children exhibiting mild to moderate behavioral needs, providing essential support to foster their social-emotional development, learning, and overall readiness for school.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct and indirect support to Pre-K 3-year-old students with mild to moderate behavioral needs.
* Implement behavioral intervention strategies and techniques in collaboration with classroom teachers and parents.
* Observe and assess student behavior in the classroom setting to identify patterns and triggers.
* Develop and monitor individualized behavior plans or strategies to promote positive behaviors and social-emotional growth.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a consistent and supportive learning environment.
* Document student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and contribute to their overall development plans.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a field relevant to behavioral support, early childhood development, special education, school psychology, or a related therapeutic discipline (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology with behavior focus).
* Current or pending professional license/certification in North Carolina relevant to your field of expertise (e.g., NC Educator's License with relevant endorsement, NC Board of Occupational Therapy License, NC Board of Psychology License, etc.).
* New graduates with a pending license are welcome and encouraged to apply!
* Experience or strong interest in working with preschool-aged children (3-year-olds).
* Understanding of child development and common behavioral challenges in early childhood.
* Excellent communication, observation, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to implement evidence-based strategies and adapt to individual student needs.
