Overview
Expleo are looking to speak with Project Support Co-coordinator to support vehicle development at a renowned Automotive Research & Development centre in the UK on a permanent basis.
Based in Cranfield, the applicant would ideally live within a 45 minute commute of the university site.
The role will be Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days on-site (Subject to the successful completion of the probation period which must be spent 5 days on site).
Responsibilities
You will be required to assist in the creation, generating and managing the implementation of various cost saving concepts, which can be used to help our client to excel within the international markets they currently operate in.
This role will give exposure to the innovative automotive projects being run across the business, along with the opportunity to develop working relationships with engineers with decades of vehicle development experience. You're guaranteed to be positioned in a supportive working environment where you will be exposed to a number of career development opportunities, as you become a valued and key member of the team.
The focus of this role is to identify cost reduction opportunities within the Research and Development centre, through technical analysis and internal benchmarking, and to subsequently determine the sustainability and suitability of these ideas by liaising with the engineers. This will also involve the preparation of reports, to be put forward to senior management with each proposal, to ensure that the necessary stakeholders are aware of the impact of each proposed cost reduction idea.
Qualifications
Minimum HNC (Degree level preferred)
Automotive experience preferred
Project tracking and or management desirable
Essential skills
Candidates must be proficient in:
Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Powerpoint
Full UK driving licence
Desired skills
Candidates would ideally have:
Automotive knowledge
Experience of vehicle components and systems
Some cost reduction activity
some project management experience
Experience
Industry experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given
