Associate Director at Inspired Selection
Our client is a leading design agency for the publishing industry based in rural Bedfordshire. Renowned for their exceptional quality and creative excellence across both print and digital resources, they are now seeking a Production Editor to join their Publishing Services team. This team plays a crucial role in supporting the studio with non-design tasks and ensuring the highest standards of output across all projects. The successful candidate will initially be based in the office at least 5 days a week during probation, with the opportunity for hybrid working in future.
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
Location: Rural Bedfordshire (car essential unless close enough to cycle)
Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year to max. 25 days + bank holidays
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting the production of high-quality educational materials. You\'ll be working closely with the Publishing Services Manager and studio team, contributing to a fast-paced workflow that demands precision, adaptability and initiative.
As Production Editor, you\'ll be responsible for a wide range of non-design tasks that support the creation of multi-component educational courses and materials. These include:
* Proofreading designer output for editorial accuracy and carrying out editorial corrections
* Formatting text and images in Word
* Picture research and artwork commissioning
* Liaising with suppliers, tracking costs and timelines ensuring projects are delivered on time and budget
* Maintaining in-house quality control procedures and accurate time records using studio systems
* Using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel to an advanced level
