As part of our company strategy to be the Number One Local Pub Company and Employer of Choice, we're searching for an ambitious Junior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. The role involves supporting the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight, and owning specific areas and regions of the business.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this is an ideal opportunity for a newly CIMA Qualified individual or someone in the final stages of the CIMA qualification. The role is hands-on, supporting a lively environment, with opportunities to turn complex information into meaningful insights to drive business performance.
This is a hybrid role, based at our modern offices in Wolverhampton, with some travel across our pub estate. Applicants must hold a full UK driving license.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight and ownership of specific areas and regions of the business.
* Taking ownership of various cost lines, including period-end reporting and analysis.
* Ensuring invoices for key cost lines are approved in a timely manner.
* Supporting monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
* Analyzing and interpreting data into a reader-friendly format for sharing with others.
* Developing relationships with the Operations team to become a point of contact for financial queries and providing daily support.
* Presenting and communicating financial information to Operations and other stakeholders as the role develops.
We are looking for:
* Newly CIMA Qualified or in the latter stages of Part Qualification (Level 3 - Strategic Level).
* The ability to meet tight deadlines weekly and monthly.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and Microsoft packages; experience with SAP is beneficial but training will be provided.
* A full UK driving license is desirable as travel to meetings and pubs will be required.
