Student Support Officer (EL160)
Salary: £22,556 – £25,205 (per annum)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Crewe Campus
We are seeking an inspiring individual to join our team at our Crewe Campus as a Student Support Officer. This role involves welcoming learners to College, ensuring they wear their lanyards, holding focus groups for feedback on their experience, encouraging positive behaviour, and responding to learners' requests for support in collaboration with staff. Providing First Aid (full training provided) is also part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high visibility across the campus, effectively communicating with learners and promoting positive behaviours;
* Support learners as a member of the Be-Safe team under the supervision of Safeguarding Leads;
* Support learner arrival at the campus barriers in the morning;
* Act as a first aider when required.
Key Person Specification Requirements
* Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant discipline;
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent);
* Ability to develop good rapport with young people (16-18) and adult learners;
* Experience working with groups and/or individuals in a supportive environment;
* Current, valid driving licence;
* Enhanced DBS check.
