Reporting to: Commercial Director - THG Nutrition, Manufacturing

Role Title: Business Development Manager / Sales Manager

Location: Claremont Ingredients, Newcastle Under Lyme, ST5 6SS

Job Description:

The role involves working within the commercial team across multiple manufacturing sites within the THG Nutrition & Wellness division. All sites have been acquired by THG over the last 2 years, and following positive changes and improvements, we are now recruiting several sales roles. This is an exciting opportunity to work with current customers and target new channels and customers for growth. The role includes P&L responsibility across a contracted ingredients and finished goods portfolio, supplying leading B2B customers in their categories.

The Role:

1. Take responsibility for an individual portfolio of accounts, ensuring profitability, customer requirements, and growth targets are met.
2. Own and manage the achievement of key commercial objectives within specified customer accounts and overall strategy by establishing and proactively managing relationships at multiple levels.
3. Continuously evaluate customer product mix to improve profitability, incorporating initiatives from NPD, complexity reduction, and cost recommendations.
4. Develop and manage customer contract agreements aligned with business priorities.
5. Manage customer and internal relationships across departments like Operations, Finance, Technical, and Product Development to optimize results.
6. Ensure forecast accuracy as part of S&OP demand planning, collaborating to implement necessary changes to meet or exceed budgets.
7. Develop clear Pareto customer account plans to surpass budgets.
8. Provide the business with accurate weekly sales outlooks and proactive plans to address gaps.

Requirements:

* Experience with Flavors and Ingredients.
* Previous account management or sales experience.
* Strong financial controls and commercial awareness.
* Proven track record of delivering profitable new business.
* Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and creativity.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
