The Role
* Deliver Engaging Lessons: Design, plan, and deliver inspiring Science lessons tailored to the needs of students.
* Foster Scientific Understanding: Develop students' scientific knowledge, understanding, and practical skills.
* Prepare for Success: Prepare students for success in relevant Science qualifications, such as GCSE, A-Level, and the IB Diploma.
* Encourage Inquiry: Foster a love of science and encourage scientific inquiry through hands-on experiments and investigations.
* Contribute to the Department: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and contribute to the overall success of the Science department.
Key Responsibilities
* Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum to ensure it aligns with the latest advancements in the field.
* Assessment and Evaluation: Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
* Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and best practices.
* Mentorship: Mentor and support student development, helping them to reach their full potential.
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Science Teacher: With a passion for the subject and a proven track record of success in teaching Science.
* Strong Subject Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in Science, with a specialization in a particular scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
