Purpose of the Role
* Driving profitable sales growth through strategic category planning, insight, and consumer understanding.
* Drive sales and profitability by developing and managing category strategies based on category insight and consumer understanding.
* Influence customers to progress with proposed opportunities.
* Build and manage strong customer relationships to make Cranswick the preferred supplier.
* Develop and manage a proactive, innovative NPD strategy based on consumer insight, working closely with commercial and NPD teams.
* Develop and manage strategic category promotional plans to drive positive consumer behaviour.
* Support the wider commercial team on ad hoc projects as required.
What You'll Do
* Category Strategy & Planning – Develop category plans using consumer insight, sales data, and retail trends to maximise growth.
* Customer Engagement – Act as a commercial point of contact, influencing customer decisions and fostering long-term partnerships.
* NPD & Innovation – Scope, shape and deliver new product development opportunities on time and on budget.
* Promotional Planning – Drive strategic promotional activity to influence consumer behaviour and grow category performance.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure strategic alignment.
* Reporting & Insight – Analyse data and monitor trends to identify the "so what?" and quantify opportunities for growth.
What We're Looking For
* A driven individual with ownership of projects and a passion for championing the customer and consumer
* Forward-thinking, with experience identifying and delivering customer-driven opportunities.
* Strong team player with excellent collaborative skills.
* Graduate-level education with a passion for food.
* Minimum 4 years in progressive category roles with a track record of developing strong retailer relationships.
* Expertise in combining Kantar and retailer data with consumer insight, food trends, and product stories.
* Attention to detail across product, packaging, pricing, promotions, merchandising, channels, and activation.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.
