About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various engineering teams to create detailed designs, plans, specifications, and installation designs of complete mechanical systems and HVAC solutions for Data Centres. You will be part of an organization that is 100% employee owned, supporting many opportunities for career advancement, success, and fulfillment.


About You

We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of mechanical engineering. While you will be a competent and experienced designer, we seek a self-starter who can manage and develop resources to meet project demands while maintaining the highest level of technical excellence and regulatory compliance, working as part of a wider multidisciplinary engineering team.

In the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:

* Carry out engineering concept design through to detailed design.
* Ensure all design projects and reports within the group are technically compliant, of consistent quality, and standard. Maintain regular in-house design reviews and checks.
* Motivate yourself and manage staff within the group to build high-performing teams. Set objectives, monitor performance, coach, and develop staff to optimize their potential.
* Implement and manage QA systems and procedures on all projects.
* Implement Company Health and Safety standards. Ensure all designs respond to CDM regulations.
* Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems ISO 9001 and 14001.


Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or relevant subject.
* Minimum 5 years of mechanical design experience within a design consultancy.
* Experience managing mechanical design throughout all design stages.
* Extensive experience with critical mechanical systems, HVAC engineering, and multiple levels of resilience including cooling, ventilation, humidification, fuel oil, and flue systems.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
* Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination, and project management experience.
* Previous experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firms.
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee–owned culture.
