Endoscopy, Clinical Director
The Endoscopy, Clinical Director provides leadership to ensure top-quality care and efficiency within the Endoscopy Service. They oversee clinical standards, manage operations, and facilitate training initiatives, all while prioritizing patient safety.
Key responsibilities of the role are....
Clinical Governance:
* Chair meetings to maintain high standards and compliance.
* Lead continuous improvement efforts to meet accreditation requirements.
* Develop and enforce clinical policies and protocols.
* Coordinate audits and address performance issues.
* Ensure data accuracy and safety protocols are followed.
Unit Management and Efficiency:
* Manage resources to meet patient waiting time targets.
* Conduct regular meetings to optimise capacity and utilisation.
* Maintain effective waiting lists and staffing levels.
Training and Development:
* Create a conducive training environment.
* Establish competency standards and assess staff.
* Promote high-quality equipment usage and provide necessary aids.
* Implement processes to ensure trainee competency and safety.
What do you need?
* Endoscopy Consultant with at least 2 years experience post-CCT.
* Exceptional clinical standards and JAG KPIs
* Experience of complaint management and governance.
