Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a BSL Learning Leader to support a large SEND school in the East Devon area, working with learners with complex needs, hearing impairment, and ASC on a 1:1 and small group basis. A Level 2 or 3 in BSL is essential.
The school adopts a holistic approach to learning, featuring a diverse curriculum, high-tech resources, qualified BSL teachers, and communication assistants providing translation and communication support at all times. Students have opportunities for expeditions into the local town and forest school settings.
For this role, you need to be:
* Comfortable and charismatic working in SEND
* Passionate about helping students thrive
* Experienced working with HI/Speech and language
* Calm and supportive
* Understanding of the deaf community
* Strong in communication and language skills
