Manager for BAT Club Wraparound Care
We are looking to appoint a BAT Club Manager to help with the leadership of our Wraparound Care Club for 5 hours a week, term time only.
Attached is a list of the tasks required in a job description format. The pay will be at West Sussex Schools Grade 5 rate of £3005 pa (equivalent to £26403 pa full time pro rata) and starts on 4th November 2025 (after half term).

Main purpose
To ensure that the school's extended provision promotes the safety and wellbeing of pupils in our care. This will involve leading and working with others, preparing engaging activities, implementing the BAT Club development plan and making sure that all school policies are followed at all times.
Duties and responsibilities
Planning and delivering activities
· Lead the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities and experiences to support pupils' development
· Induct new staff to BAT Club and ensure the effectiveness of planned activities.
· Ensure one member of staff is in the studio and one is in the hall to have oversight of play
· Plan for play outside if the weather is dry
· Ensure resources are adequate, of good quality and stored effectively
· Liaise with the SBP for the purchase of new resources and keep informed regarding the BAT Club cost centre
Health and safety
· Ensure details of incidents are recorded in line with the school's reporting procedures
· Feedback concerns relating to pupils' health and safety to a senior member of staff/parents
· Make sure all food is served in line with health and safety standards and that the dietary
requirements of pupils are met and ensure a designated and safe area for eating
· Make sure all protocols are up to date and implemented consistently by all staff
· Make sure all policies are up to date and implemented consistently by all staff
Behaviour
· Report any incidents of serious misbehaviour to the relevant staff member, in line with the
school's behaviour policy
· Take necessary action to minimise disruption and harm to pupils, in line with the school's
behaviour policy
· Follow any directions from class teachers on supporting specific pupils with challenging behaviour
· Support pupils with their independence and self-esteem when carrying out activities
Working with others
Follow the directions and expectations of the Senior Leadership Team
· Work collaboratively with others to ensure that the provision is effective in meeting the needs of all children. This includes effective supervision
· Work with external agencies as appropriate
· Seek support from others when necessary
· Ensure spaces used are clear and tidy following their use
· Ensure the studio is left set up for clubs the next morning
· Ensure that you know who the DSL is for the sessions in relation to safeguarding And contact them if necessary
Safeguarding
· Ensure accurate records are kept of pupils attending the extended provision, including medical/dietary needs and emergency contact details
· Ensure accurate attendance records are kept and non-attendance is reported in line with school procedures
· Ensure that children are supervised at all times and have fun
Other areas of responsibility
· Read and follow the relevant school policies
· Undertake training required to develop in the role
· Liaise with BAT Club administrator with regard to bookings
