TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Cable Extrusion Operator on behalf our external client located in Dundee. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company specialising in high-quality cable manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor extrusion machinery to produce specialist cables.
* Prepare raw materials (e.g., copper, fibre, polymer compounds).
* Perform routine maintenance and equipment cleaning.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure product standards.
* Follow technical drawings and production instructions.
* Record production data and report any adjustments made.
* Communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
* Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Requirements
* Experience in cable manufacturing or polymer extrusion.
* Skilled in operating extrusion equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and quality.
* Ability to read technical drawings and instructions.
* Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
* Flexible with shift work.
