Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop a regional sales function across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. This role is responsible for driving sales performance through a combination of direct sales activity, distributor management and strategic leadership.
You will play a key role in executing go-to-market strategies, achieving revenue targets and building strong relationships across a diverse sales network. Acting as a central link between regional sales teams and global leadership, you will help remove barriers to growth and ensure continued market success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop a network of direct sales teams, distributors and service partners across the region
2. Deliver against sales targets and maintain accurate forecasting on a monthly basis
3. Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies to drive market growth
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, providing coaching and performance management
5. Monitor partner performance and conduct regular business reviews to ensure targets are met
6. Identify and report on market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities
7. Support pricing strategies through market insight and competitive analysis
8. Participate in regular sales meetings, providing updates on performance and strategy
9. Travel within the region to support, train and evaluate partners and sales teams
10. Contribute to the development of sales tools and resources to enhance performance
11. Support lead generation activities and ensure effective follow-up across all channels
12. Approve discount requests within authority levels and escalate where appropriate
13. Engage in direct sales activity where required
14. Promote high standards of customer service to maximise satisfaction and revenue
About You
15. Degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Materials Science, or equivalent practical experience in a related field
16. Proven experience in both direct sales and sales leadership roles
17. Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
18. Experience managing distributors, resellers or third-party sales partners
19. Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across a matrix organisation
20. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex sales situations
21. Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a geographically dispersed team
22. Results-driven with a proactive approach to achieving objectives
23. Familiarity with CRM systems and sales performance metrics
24. Strong Excel and data analysis skills
25. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
26. Fluent in English, both written and spoken
27. Willingness to travel regularly within the region
