Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a local reputable supermarket. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for both employees and clients. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Duties
* Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors
* Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas
* Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
* Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored correctly
* Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties
* Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team
* Assist with special cleaning projects as required
Requirements
* Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety guidelines
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and time management
Hours of work
Part time - 6 mornings per week
Including 1 or both weekend mornings
6am-8am (prior to store opening)
12 hours per week
