Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. This role requires a hands-on approach, utilising both hand and power tools to ensure that all repairs are executed to the highest standards. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will be interacting with clients to discuss their vehicle needs.
Duties
* Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
* Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and disassembly of vehicle components.
* Conduct equipment repairs and perform welding tasks as needed to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist customers by providing clear explanations of repair needs and recommendations for future maintenance.
* Handle heavy lifting when required during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or in a similar role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics effectively.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the role.
