We’re looking for a Service Assistant to join us at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal to help our busy Welcome Team throughout our visitor operations. Salary: £12.25 p/h Duration: Early March - 31st October 2026 Hours: Average of 15 hours per week across 3 shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract. What you'll be doing The core part of your job is to give vital and positive support to your colleagues, wherever you’re needed, with a focus on helping visitors. No two days will be the same. You can expect to meet many different people and gain experience in different visitor areas, including working across our 3 ticket offices and in our car park at Studley. You’ll get involved in all kinds of tasks, including greeting visitors in the car park, scanning memberships cards and selling tickets, and issuing our powered mobility scooters to visitors. This is a varied role with both indoor and outdoor working. Most importantly, you’ll be talking to visitors, answering their questions and making sure they can find everything they need to enjoy their day.
