Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, to provide clerical support to the integrated Finance/General Office. The post holder must have excellent communication and written skills. Demonstrates high levels of confidentiality when liaising with staff, patients and service users. Knowledge of Health Boards Financial Procedures with regards to cash handling, banking, petty cash, patient valuables and money. The successful candidate will be computer literate and be efficient in using the Microsoft Office packages and WPAS.


Main duties of the job

Main Duties

* Reimbursement of patient travelling expenses to those who meet criteria and ensure all documentation required is present and correct.
* Making disbursements, reconciling and inputting petty cash onto database.
* Assist in the banking of revenue and endowment monies – in compliance with Financial Procedures.
* Processing of patient valuables and money.
* Organise and process of staff identify badges.
* Ensuring adequate supply of WP10HP are stamped.
* Arranging emergency transport and taxis.
* Assist with incoming mail and processing ‘special & recorded’ mail onto online postage system.
* Deal with general enquiries, over the counter and phone.
* Inputting requisitions onto Oracle.

Person specification


Knowledge

* RSA II or equivalent demonstrable experience of administrative/office skills plus the additional experience of working in an administrative/office environment.
* Experience of financial procedures
* 4 GCSE’s to include Math’s and English
* ECDL or equivalent experience and/or qualifications


Skills

* Good organisational skills to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Excellent verbal and written skills

* Able to deal with varied situations with tact and diplomacy
* Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
* Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh
