About the Role
Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking an experienced E3S Case Delivery Lead to play a pivotal role in developing and submitting Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) Cases and Safety Analysis Reports for customers. This position is critical to ensuring compliance with UK and international licensing and permitting programmes.
You will lead the authoring of Tier 1 E3S Case and Safety Analysis Report documents, manage delivery schedules, and engage with regulators and customers. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of nuclear safety and regulatory compliance within a world-class organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development and governance of E3S Case and Safety Analysis Reports.
* Own and maintain delivery programmes aligned with licensing schedules.
* Engage with regulators, customers, and internal stakeholders.
* Maintain Claims, Arguments, and Evidence (CAE) structures for E3S Cases.
* Collaborate with engineering and analysis teams to underpin safety claims.
* Line manage a team of E3S Case authors and build team capability.

* Strong delivery focus: ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills: able to convey technical subject matter clearly.
* In-depth understanding of safety, environment, or security case development and permitting regulations.
* Experience with civil nuclear regulatory regimes (UK or international).
* Skilled in technical report writing and governance processes.
* Proven stakeholder engagement experience across complex projects.
Qualifications
* Chartered or working towards Chartered status with a professional engineering body (or equivalent).
