Job Overview
Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) in conjunction with the Coventry and Warwickshire Bowel Cancer Screening Centre are seeking to appoint two fixed‑term/seconded Band 5 staff to roll out our Pathology request/result system across Birmingham and Solihull GP practices.
Role Responsibilities
* Implement the EMIS/Optum tQuest system to GP practices across Birmingham and Solihull.
* Install equipment and configure the order communication system.
* Provide training to GP practice staff on use of the system.
* Troubleshoot issues as first‑line response and act as liaison between GP staff, system providers and the EMIS/Optum Supplier.
* Work closely and supportively with a variety of stakeholders including suppliers, Trust IT teams and GPs.
* Travel widely and frequently to GP practices as part of the Partnership Team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with order communications systems in a healthcare environment.
* Experience working with pathology laboratories.
* Excellent communication skills, able to relay IT technical information to users.
Other Information
Position is a 12‑month fixed‑term/secondment role. Secondment will be considered for internal candidates. The role will close as soon as sufficient applications have been received.
