Responsibilities and Duties:
Role-specific Duties:
* Service User Preferences: Ensure service users' preferences are prioritized in care delivery to enhance their well-being.
* Comprehensive Support: Provide holistic support to service users to foster their quality of life.
* Independent Work: Work independently with service users in their homes, demonstrating compassion and effective communication skills.
* Care Plans: Diligently follow care plans and promptly report any changes in service users' needs to the Senior Carer/Nurse.
* Safeguarding: Promote and safeguard the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
Working with Others:
* Colleague Relationships: Develop effective relationships with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams.
* Family Relationships: Maintain and foster relationships with service users' family, friends, and other significant individuals as desired.
Other Duties:
* Professional Growth: Seek personal and professional growth opportunities.
* Role Model: Act as a role model for other Support Workers and represent the service positively.
* Professionalism: Adhere to professionalism, politeness, and reasonableness in all interactions.
Personal and Professional Development:

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
* Language Skills: Good command of written and verbal English.
* Education: RQF in Social Care.
Skills:
* BSL (British Sign Language): Experience in BSL is essential for effective communication with certain service users. A willingness to learn BSL will also be considered.
* Communication: Proficient written communication skills.
* Daily Tasks: Ability to support service users with daily tasks as outlined in care plans.
* Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills.
Previous Experience:
* Previous experience in domiciliary care or supported accommodation is desirable but not essential.
