Responsibilities
* Documents appropriate test requirements and improvements for hardware designs, applying understanding of how features or products work under various customer scenarios.
* Develops and implements data and statistical frameworks using programming languages and relational databases to manage products, identifying complex issues affecting design changes.
* Identifies solutions and communicates with engineers or team leads, managing product changes through change requests, and addressing project risks early on with plans to mitigate them.
* Uses root cause analysis to identify complex problems affecting features or product changes, and collaborates on solutions.
* Contributes to project schedules for hardware engineering aspects of moderately complex features or products, escalating issues as needed.
* Implements and tracks product plans, providing recommendations to develop comprehensive plans that consider user experience, testing scenarios, design reuse, and verifiability.
* Uses data and statistical analysis to optimize existing processes or develop new workflows for the team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, or related field with technical engineering experience in Volume Manufacturing, OR
* Master's or PhD in the same fields with similar experience, OR
* Data Sciences with engineering experience in Volume Manufacturing.
Other Requirements:
* Ability to meet security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Optical or Mechanical Engineering with experience in fibre optics, or equivalent experience.
* Experience with relational databases and programming languages for data science workflows.
