GSK’s Manufacturing Site at Ware has an opportunity available for a Shift Co-Ordinator in our Warehouse facility. The Warehouse Operator team sits within the Logistics division at the site and is responsible for performing all tasks associated with the movement of materials into, within and onwards from the Ware Manufacturing site.
Reporting to a Warehouse Team Leader you will coordinate day-to-day shift activities in a busy manufacturing and supply environment. You will work with production, quality, maintenance and logistics teams to keep shifts running safely and to plan work that meets volume and quality targets. Responsibilities include:
1. Managing and coordinating all shift activities to meet safety, quality and production targets.
2. Communicate priorities and handovers between shifts and with other departments.
3. Monitor production performance and escalate issues that threaten delivery or quality.
4. Support investigations into deviations and help implement corrective actions.
5. Coach and support team members to follow procedures and work safely.
6. Maintain clear and accurate shift records, reports and handover documentation.
Shift Pattern: This role is a shift role which currently operates on DANF (24/5) shift-pattern (which includes night-work). Shifts are 12-hour shifts and operate on Days (circa 7:00 to 19:00) and Nights (circa 19:00 to 7:00) working on a circa 3 (day or night) shift rotation (Monday to Friday).
Please be aware that as the Shift Co-Ordinator you will need to be flexible. Up to 50% of hours worked are outside normal hours, requiring a high degree of self-reliance and ability to assess the impact of non-standard safety and/or quality events.

About You:
You will have strong people skills, as well as a proven ability to drive performance. It is imperative in this role that you demonstrate an ability to drive common-thinking with a complete focus on providing solutions. You will be resilient and calm under pressure. You will need to be persuasive, have a strong continuous improvement mindset, and be able to think outside the box and have proven experience dealing with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Ideally you will have worked in a highly regulated-industry.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
We are co-located with our R&D colleagues and recently opened a new, state-of-the-art oral solid dose facility at Ware. At this location our scientists, technicians and engineers (from R&D and Global Supply Chain – GSC) work collaboratively together (using the latest technologies) to rapidly knowledge transfer and deliver GSK’s most innovative, medicines faster and more efficiently. On site we produce over 60 million respiratory inhalers each year with growing demand in future years. The site also processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for use both on site and other manufacturing sites in our network.
