Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic part-time Teaching Assistant to support the learning of none-verbal pupils in EYFS with ASD in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Amble on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils on a 1:1 basis and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
1. The role will involve supporting none-verbal pupils in EYFS with varied ASD and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis in all of their lessons.
2. The role will involve supporting none-verbal pupils who also require support with their personal care.
3. The role will also involve working alongside the Class Teacher to plan and deliver inspiring learning activities that are suited to the needs and learning style of pupils.
4. A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
5. The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
9. Pay – £16 per hour
10. Hours – 11am – 3pm, Monday to Friday
11. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
12. Start Date – ASAP
13. Location – Amble
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
14. A Supporting Teaching and Learning or EYFS Qualification (desired)
15. Experience of working with Children in EYFS
16. An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
17. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
18. Hold Right to Work in the UK
19. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
20. Provide two professional references that cover the last two years
