We are recruiting a Senior Design Engineer to join a leading provider of scaffolding and temporary works solutions. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to take a hands-on lead in delivering innovative designs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring projects meet all technical and safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Lead the design and verification of scaffolding, temporary works, and structural support systems. * Produce detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. * Mentor and supervise junior engineers and design technicians. * Collaborate with project teams to deliver safe, practical, and cost-effective solutions. * Conduct site visits to assess conditions and provide technical support. * Review and approve engineering calculations, risk assessments, and method statements. * Ensure compliance with TG20, BS5975, CDM regulations, and other standards. * Identify process improvements and contribute to business development initiatives. Required Skills & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field. * Chartered or near-chartered status preferred (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent). * Experience in scaffolding, temporary works, or structural design. * Strong knowledge of TG20, BS5975, Eurocodes, and CDM regulations. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, or scaffold-specific modelling tools. * Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. * Confident in conducting site visits and liaising with project teams.
