The warm welcome, the helpful guide, and the calm presence that keeps things running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for residents, families, professionals, and visitors, ensuring everyone feels at ease, informed, and supported from the moment they walk through our doors or pick up the phone. But this role goes beyond a traditional front-desk position. You'll become a vital member of our care home team, helping residents stay connected with their families, supporting staff with administrative tasks, and coordinating important processes like admissions, appointments, and financial record-keeping. From organising birthday celebrations to assisting with daily operations, you'll play a key part in making our home a place that truly feels like home. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a people-focused role, and takes pride in being reliable, organised, and compassionate. You'll work closely with our Home Manager and wider team to create a warm, well-run environment where residents receive not only the best care, but also respect, dignity, and a genuine sense of community. Key Responsibilities Greet visitors and create a warm, professional first impression Answer calls and manage enquiries with care and efficiency Support residents with appointments, communications, and daily admin Handle resident admissions, discharges, and financial transactions Manage resident personal monies with accuracy and integrity Coordinate event planning with the Wellbeing team and catering staff Support residents to maintain contact with relatives and friends, by facilitating telephone calls and the posting of letters. Maintain up-to-date records and ordering systems for the home Provide essential admin support to the Home Manager What We're Looking For A kind, calm and professional manner Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organised with good attention to detail Comfortable managing sensitive information with confidentiality Proficient with admin and basic financial and IT tasks Ability to work independently and collaboratively Experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred Strong time management and computer literacy If you're ready to bring your organisational skills and caring heart to this role, we'd love to hear from you.
