The Strategy Manager will work closely with the Head of Strategy to shape and execute the organisation’s strategic agenda across two key areas: growth strategy and corporate/business strategy. The role will lead high-impact initiatives, provide data-driven insights, and ensure alignment with long-term objectives as the business continues to expand.
The Role
As a Strategy Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction across two core areas: Growth Strategy and Corporate/Business Strategy.
Growth Strategy
* Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, partnerships, and business models.
* Lead market research and competitive analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
* Develop business cases and financial models to support investment priorities.
* Collaborate across teams to design and deliver go-to-market and development strategies for new initiatives.
Corporate & Business Strategy
* Support the development and refinement of the organisation’s long-term corporate strategy and annual planning process.
* Analyse industry trends and internal performance to define strategic priorities.
* Lead cross-functional projects to enhance operational effectiveness and execution.
* Prepare strategic presentations and reports for senior leadership and the Board.
General
* Manage multiple workstreams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
* Build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation to align stakeholders around key priorities.
* Track the progress of strategic initiatives, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
The Candidate
* Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and develop actionable recommendations
* Excellent analytical and financial modelling abilities, including proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making
* Ability to synthesise insights from market research, competitive analysis, and internal data
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership and boards
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across diverse teams
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* 4–7 years’ experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or a related field
* Proven track record of delivering strategic projects, ideally across both growth and corporate/business strategy areas
* Experience in energy, renewables, or adjacent sectors is advantageous but not essential
* Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus
* Familiarity with financial analysis, business case development, and strategic planning processes
