We are currently seeking an experienced Timber Sawyer to join our timber manufacturing department at our Nottingham site.
The role involves operating and setting up a crosscut & vertical panel saw machinery to cut all timber and plywood elements for our timber case manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and set up crosscut and panel saws for timber and plywood cutting.
Read and work from technical works orders and measurements.
Maintain equipment and keep the work area safe and tidy.
Meet daily production requirements.
Follow company Health and Safety procedures.
Requirements:
The successful candidates will need to have the ability to work on their own initiative and prioritise their own workload to meet tight deadlines, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a strong sense of attention to detail along with the ability to work from and understand technical drawings and works orders.
In return we are offering a starting wage of £13.00-£14.00 an hour dependent upon relevant experience for the first six months, reviewed after successful completion of a probationary period.
29 days holiday a year, increasing with long service
36.5 hours per week over Monday Thursday, 8.00am 4.30pm & Friday, 8.00am 2.00pm.
