This is a wonderful opportunity to join our client, an industry‑leading, eco‑conscious multidisciplinary consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to high‑profile residential and commercial projects in land development and engineering. They are actively seeking a senior hydrologist or flood modeller with extensive knowledge of flood risk, drainage, and/or environmental impact assessments (EIA).

Responsibilities
* Oversee the preparation, amendment, and submission of technical documents, including tenders, Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Drainage Assessment Reports, calculations, and models
* Identify business development opportunities and work to win new projects
* Liaise with and manage client and stakeholder relations across the public and private sectors
* Manage people and projects at all stages of the process, from initial inception through to successful delivery, adhering to budgetary, resourcing, and timeframe requirements
* Adhere to industry standards, procedures, and guidelines at all times, including strict health and safety regulations
* Oversee colleagues’ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within the company
Qualifications
* A degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar relevant discipline
* Chartered status with a recognised professional body/institute (e.g., CIWEM)
* Demonstrable experience in a design capacity within a UK‑based consultancy or local authority setting
* Outstanding working knowledge of relevant software packages such as Flood Modeller, AutoCAD, WinDES, WINFAP, HEC‑RAS, FEH, etc.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
* Extensive experience liaising closely with a range of clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Desirable Skills
* A master’s degree (or higher qualification) in a relevant discipline
* Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Full, valid UK driving licence
