We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join Protective Services in one of the most beautiful and rapidly growing areas of Scotland with over 40 miles of magnificent coastline, rolling countryside, high quality food & drink, world-renowned links golf courses, and excellent links to Edinburgh city centre.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist with the development and implementation of a new pest control service in the Council. The successful candidate will support the Team Leader with the day to day supervision and operational delivery of the service to a range of internal and external customers in the East Lothian area.
You will also be expected to undertake other duties which support the Environmental Health teams in meeting relevant local and national standards when there is a particular demand, such as stray dogs legislation and the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act.
Applicants should be qualified to RSPH Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management and be able to demonstrate a wide range of experience in relation to pest control activities and management.
Home / Hybrid Working Consideration Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council’s Home Working and Worksmart Policies which can be found. Home or Hybrid working options can be discussed with candidates invited for interview. All applicants must live in the UK and will be expected to attend Council offices from time to time as required.
