SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT
£80 PER DAY
AMERSHAM, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
FULL TIME MONDAY- FRIDAY
The school specialises in supporting students with Learning Difficulties, Social/Emotional/Mental Health, EBD, Challenging Behaviour, Communication, PTSD and Anxiety.
The roles will be full-time, long-term, supporting various aspects of education including Literacy, Numeracy, IT and Employability Skills, this will be for an immediate start.
Due to the location, this role will ideally suit someone with their own transport.
Daily Rate: £80 per day
Location: Amersham (Buckinghamshire)
Contract Type: Long Term
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Monday – Friday (Full-Time)
The successful applicants will have:
1. Previous experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH and/or EBD.
2. Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behavior.
3. Ideally experience working with children and/or young people
4. Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service.
The role will consist of:
5. Support the individual learning needs of pupils across designated curriculum areas and other areas where requested
6. Work with individuals and groups of students, assist in ensuring students are kept on task and complete activities set by the teacher.
7. Deal with behavioural and special needs issues in conjunction with the teacher.
8. Offering support to the class teacher including helping to implement lesson plans, aims and content.
9. Take small group of students for defined activities.
10. Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
11. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans.
12. Building good student – teacher rapport.
