Job Description: The European Travel Specialist is a key role and will support the day-to-day management of our European Travel program, working closely with associates and stakeholders from TJX, including admin teams, finance and corporate security. The role will also support projects and process improvements, across all areas of the travel operation, identifying areas of opportunity for both our on-line and off-line service offerings in partnership with the TMC. In addition, this role will support projects and programs such as our travel tender processes and hotel program, supporting the management of supplier relationships and identifying gaps. The successful candidate must be experienced in supporting the management of projects, supplier performance and service level expectations, ensuring alignment to corporate policy and travel program strategy. This position is designed for an individual who has extensive corporate travel management experience within a mature travel management team, is extremely customer focused and self-motivated. What you’ll be doing: Provide operational and management support for the day-to-day travel program Support management of TMC, developing a strong, proactive relationship to ensure a best-in-class service Engagement with key travel suppliers as needed Provide support during travel emergency situations Play an active part in projects and the development of consistency around the regions Seek and take action on program improvement opportunities Support the development and integration of travel program partners as needed Focus on regional service delivery, ensuring best practice approach Support travel tender processes, providing industry insight and knowledge Work with colleagues to create a strong culture and a reputation for excellence by sharing best practices What you’ll bring: Extensive experience in a corporate travel management environment Knowledge of TMC operations, travel booking systems (OBT/GDS), processes and procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing change, with the ability to stay calm under pressure Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Exceptional organisational and planning skills; attention to detail and excellent follow-through Ability to influence and guide stakeholders and business partners Ability to analyse data and prepare reports on findings/recommendations You must have the legal right to work in the country you are applying to.
