Your Role
As a Civil Engineer within our dynamic team, you’ll be the subject matter expert at Drax Power Station. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Lead Engineer in delivering the Business Plan.
* Contributing to strategies for maintaining aging and constructing new civil assets.
* Liaising with and managing a large consultancy and contractor resource.
* Producing specifications and project scoping documents.
* Ensuring compliance with legislative, statutory, corporate, and site policies.
* Managing internal and external stakeholders, including sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Overseeing contract management, including negotiations and risk assessments.
* Collaborating with team members and supporting day-to-day activities.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* A relevant university degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
* Technical competence in reviewing designs and methodologies to British Standards and Eurocodes.
* Previous design experience as a consultant or design manager in the construction industry.
* Exceptional communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to support your team in a fast-paced environment.
