Occupational Therapist - Band 5/6 or 5 - 6 Development. An OT who loves working with older adults and a great team is sought to work in our award-winning Allied Health Professional Services. The role supports dementia services development and offers flexible working, including return-to-practice and 5-6 development paths. The team provides a supportive, inclusive environment and opportunities to progress and specialise in practice.
Responsibilities
 * Complete occupation-based assessment and treatment
 * Focus on what matters to Service Users, using creativity to promote their occupational identity
 * Support Assistants, Physiotherapists and Nursing Staff to engage Service Users in meaningful ways
 * Be part of a large OT/PT team working across Hertfordshire
 * Receive supervision, support and line management from OTs
 * Participate in the promotion and teaching of the profession
 * Be part of an MDT that values OT and PT
 * Access specific Older Peoples CPD opportunities and development programs
 * Develop knowledge and application of the Model of Human Occupation and other specialist assessments

Essential Qualifications and Experience
 * BSc/MSc/PG Dip Occupational Therapy
 * HCPC registration (or applied for)
 * Proficient use of Microsoft Office
Desirable
 * Experience of working with people with mental health problems and/or learning disability
 * Training in the Model of Human Occupation
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
 * Knowledge of policy, health legislation and guidelines relevant to OT
 * Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
 * Teamworking ability; professional boundaries
 * Ability to adapt practical skills; training and presentation skills
