Job Description
Are you ready to make a real‑world impact while achieving your career goals? We’re looking for a Senior Functional Consultant to join the Oracle Financial Services Global Industry Consulting organization in the Brighton (UK) area to drive the growth of our SaaS Health Insurance portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement, performing varied and complex duties that require independent judgment.
Apply Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members.
Consult with management of customer organizations and participate in business development activities.
Develop and configure detailed solutions for moderately complex projects, including design, configuration, testing, debugging of OHI components.
Estimate tasks, meet milestones and deadlines, and report progress on tasks and projects.
Participate in pre‑sales activities for OHI Consulting and mentor junior team members.
Travel when necessary.
What We’ll Search For
6–10 years of experience relevant to this position with at least 3 years of consulting experience in essential skill areas.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus in Health Insurance domain with specific experience in UK Health Insurance and Regulatory reporting.
Essential Skills
Implementation consulting or IT experience with health insurance domain applications for a UK based insurance company.
Affinity with technology and knowledge of integrations.
Proficiency in English – verbal and written.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Health Insurance domain – products, processes and operations, and regulatory reporting for the UK.
Certification in Health Insurance topics.
Previous work experience on direct customer exposure and application implementation work.
Prior experience working in remote virtual teams.
Experience in integration with other systems such as financials ERP, document generation, payments processing.
Experience in data migration.
Affinity with cloud, deployment, and latest technologies.
