Location: This is a regional position covering a large geographical area across the Midlands and South, with occasional travel to the North. A clean driving license and your own car are essential, and all mileage and travel costs will be expensed.

Role Purpose
As a Fire Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in implementing Audley Group’s Fire Safety Strategy. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety legislation, including:
 * Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
 * Fire Safety Act 2021
 * Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
 * Building Safety Act 2022
Working closely with the Operations Team, General Managers, and Facilities Managers, you will help maintain robust fire safety standards across our organization.
Your Responsibilities
 * Support the Health & Safety Manager in developing and maintaining our Fire Safety Strategy.
 * Provide day-to-day fire safety advice to Operations and Village teams, fostering a positive fire safety culture.
 * Assist in external fire risk assessments and ensure timely action on findings.
 * Conduct internal fire safety audits and inspections, delivering actionable recommendations for improvement.
 * Lead discussions with the Fire Safety Focus Group.
 * Review and improve fire risk management procedures and evacuation plans.
 * Deliver fire safety training sessions to staff at all levels.
 * Organize fire safety talks for residents, ensuring clear communication of responsibilities.
 * Stay updated on fire safety legislation and industry standards.
 * Liaise with external enforcement bodies on compliance matters.
 * Support the management of high-risk buildings in accordance with the Building Safety Act 2022.
 * Prepare fire safety performance reports for the Risk and Governance Committee.
 * Identify and escalate deficiencies in fire safety systems.
 * Support investigations of fire-related incidents, recommending preventive measures.
 * Manage fire safety-related data within our enterprise risk management system.
Key Skills & Requirements
 * Proven experience as a Fire Safety Advisor, Fire Risk Assessor, or in a Fire Engineering role.
 * Relevant fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety).
 * Membership in a professional body (e.g., IFSM, IFE).
 * Comprehensive understanding of UK fire safety legislation.
 * Experience in fire risk assessments, particularly in complex or high-risk buildings.
 * Familiarity with current fire safety standards and guidance.
 * Willingness to travel nationally, including occasional overnight stays.
