We are looking for enthusiastic Health Care Support Workers (HCSWs) to join our vibrant maternity services team at GUH. As an HCSW, you’ll play a vital role in supporting midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care. Main duties of the job

* To welcome and support women, relatives, friends and other visitors to the clinical area.
* To participate in the delivery of clinical care and undertake clinical duties, which are allocated and directly supervised by a registered midwife or registered nurse.
* To share with midwives and or nurses information relating to the care of mothers and babies and to assist mothers in the care of their babies.
* To assist in the care of women within the hospital, to ensure their needs are met both physically and psychologically.
* To report any changes in women condition to the midwife in charge and respond to clinical emergencies.
* To escort women and their babies needing to attend other departments within and the Health Board.
* The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Experience
