As part of Bidfood, the Oliver Kay hub depots specialise in fresh produce and serve both their own customers and the wider group with both fresh produce and fresh chilled goods. The Bradford site runs a seven-day operation with a six-day delivery service to customers.
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will report to the Depot Technical Manager and have direct responsibility for food safety and quality standards across the Depot. You will lead and motivate a small but effective team that is heavily involved with day-to-day operations across the site. You will lead GFSI & customer audits, implement quality procedures and ensure high standards are maintained to meet all quality, legal and customer requirements. You will challenge and develop the current site Quality Management System and proactively identify and highlight areas of non-compliance; working with the depot’s management team to effectively resolve any issues found. You will be expected to build strong relationships across departments within the site and with technical teams at the other two Oliver Kay sites. You will oversee the inspection and quality management of all stock receipted, stored and dispatched and complete departmental KPI’s and period reviews. You will champion and continue to improve the site's food safety & quality culture and oversee the investigation of quality and safety complaints, ensuring timely response and the completion of corrective action.
As the successful candidate for this role you will have:
* Relevant experience of the BRCGS Standard and quality management systems within a food business.
* Hold a HACCP or Food Safety qualification at level 3 and be competent at carrying out internal or supplier auditing.
* Good time management and work prioritisation skills.
* You will be determined and enthusiastic with a keen eye for detail.
* You will have the ability to create and deliver training if required
* Communicate effectively at all levels.
* Be able to motivate your people to bring their best every day.
You're able to use your IT and numeric skills to evaluate information. You’ll be used to working to deadlines and will have an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
Does that sound like you? If so, we'd love to see your CV
