As our Technical Services Manager, you will lead the strategic delivery of technical services, ensuring compliance, consistency, and innovation across all sites. Your key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing hard services delivery and statutory compliance across the national portfolio
* Managing outsourced maintenance contracts and internal engineering teams
* Maintaining and optimising the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule based on SFG20 and manufacturers' guidance
* Supporting area managers with PPM and remedial works
* Reviewing and validating quotes, method statements, and risk assessments
* Managing helpdesk and CAFM functions
* Leading and developing engineering teams to deliver high-quality service in line with H&S and statutory requirements
* Acting as the Authorised Person for Electrical Works, providing technical assurance and leadership
* Driving supplier performance through regular reviews and continuous improvement
* Supporting future planning and infrastructure strategies
Qualifications:
* 5+ years' experience in Facilities Management, covering both hard and soft services
* Recognised engineering qualification
* Authorising Engineer / Authorised Person in M&E disciplines
* Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, PPM planning, and energy utilisation
* Experience managing technical teams and contractors nationally
* IBOSH qualification
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
Desirable:
* Formal project management qualification (e.g. Prince2, APM)
* NEBOSH qualification
* Membership of a relevant professional body (IET, CIBSE, etc.)
* Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets
* Proven success in leading change management initiatives
