We're looking for 10 or more Welders to perform welding and welding related tasks in a production environment.Day to day, your main and primary responsibility is to safely perform welding and welding related tasks supporting the Type 31 frigate programme - from piece-part creation through to panel manufacture and whole ship build.This role is full time and based onsite at RosythEssential experience of the Welder:Arc Air Gouging, grinding, and burningPrevious experience of working with tooling maintenance technical instructionsPrevious experience of working with & IAW welding procedures, and acceptance standards.Working within the heavy engineering/marine defence industry would be advantageousBasic visual inspection and control of welding consumable knowledgeWeld defects and causesUtilising work to risk, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.You will demonstrate previous welding experience, including significant experience of SMAW, GSFCAW, GTAW and SAW welding processes and be comfortable working at heights and in confined spacesNote: You will have to successfully pass a welder test regime as part of the recruitment process.
