7.75 hours per day, 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between our core working hours 7.00am – 5.30pm. There is also an opportunity to work overtime as needed.

What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking Support Drivers to assist our operational teams in maintaining a safe and efficient network.
As a Support Driver, you will operate a 3.5-tonne drop side van to deliver and collect materials, signage, and barriers at operational sites, supporting teams to ensure the continuous flow of gas to homes and businesses across our network. Essentially, our operational teams rely on you to do their work effectively.
Your day will primarily involve driving, with some physically demanding tasks such as backfilling excavations, setting out signs, cones, barriers, and traffic lights (signing, lighting, and guarding).
You’ll be relied on to:
* Collect and deliver materials, plant, and equipment as instructed, safely and efficiently
* Work within WWU policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
* Perform daily/weekly vehicle inspections, report and rectify defects within agreed timescales
* Maintain vehicle condition and present it for maintenance when needed
* Drive legally, adhering to all road and site speed limits
* Maintain clear communication with coordinators and engineering staff
* Use approved equipment correctly to ensure safety and health
* Proactively sign and guard on-site, report any defects to your manager
You’ll need to have:
* A full valid driving licence
* The right to work in the UK
* Knowledge of DVSA regulations
* The energy to work in all weather conditions
* Willingness to undertake necessary training and upskilling
* A flexible mindset to meet customer and public needs safely
Desirable qualifications include:
* Category C or CE licence
* NRSWA qualifications (excavation and reinstatement)
* SHEA Gas
