Night Support Worker

Working Hours
* 4-week rota pattern of 14 waking night shifts
* Shifts run from 8:45pm to 8:15am
* Average of 40 hours per week
* Regular weekend working (typically every other weekend)
About the Role
We are recruiting experienced Night Support Workers to join a specialist residential setting supporting children and young people with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, resulting in complex needs.
This is a waking night position, where you will play a vital role in keeping children and young adults safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night while promoting consistency, reassurance and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing exceptional levels of care throughout the night
* Supporting children and young adults with bedtime routines, including washing and changing
* Encouraging healthy sleep patterns where possible
* Carrying out regular checks during the night and managing any incidents calmly and effectively
* Meeting all medical and care needs, including administration and recording of prescribed medication (following training)
* Ensuring the environment remains safe, calm, supportive and welcoming
* Undertaking light housekeeping duties during quieter periods
* Participating in personal care and physical intervention where required

Training and Development
* Full training and ongoing support provided
* Funded Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care available
